Sergio De Alva is a founding partner of De Alva & Asociados in Mexico City.
He graduated from Universidad La Salle Law Faculty; he holds a Diploma on Federal Administrative Trial Law, from the Mexican Academy of Tax Law, and holds three majors on: Intellectual Property Law, Amparo Constitutional Trial, and Administrative Law, from Universidad Panamericana, where he also obtained an LLM degree on Industrial Property, Copyrights and Information Technology Law.
On the field of Business Management, he graduated from the Senior Management Business Program (D1), and the Service Business Management Program (DS), at IPADE Business School.
Additionally, he holds a Diploma on Digital Marketing Strategies from Kellogg (Northwestern) School of Management.
He is a member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI); the International Trademark Association (INTA); the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI); the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO); the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and of the US-MEXICO Bar Association (USMBA).
He has 25 years of professional experience on the fields of Intellectual Property and Administrative Law.
He is an author, lecturer, and professor at various forums and universities on the fields of Intellectual Property and Administrative Law.
He is responsible for filing, prosecuting, assignment, and licensing of a wide Trademark, Patent, and Copyright portfolio. He renders consulting and counseling on Entertainment and Media Law, Internet Domain Names, Intellectual Property Litigation, Customs procedures and Criminal Anti-Counterfeiting actions.
